our coach asks us to keep a journal of our mileage and workouts. seems like apain to do. Is it that important? What do you think?
I think it's a great idea! It is great to look back on what you've done in training to learn how to progress. For instance, say you are feeling tired or get hurt, you can look back and see where your training might have been too aggressive, etc. Also, you can look back on the past year when you are getting ready for a new season and look at what areas you can improve. It's hard to discipline yourself, but I think it is something you will treasure the rest of your life!
