My 7 year old son just qualified for National Jr Olympics in AAU. I am afraid that he may be getting tired, his times have been slipping the past couple of weeks. When I ask him he said he was tired. He typically runs 76 to 77s, he has slipped down to 80 and 81 seconds. He has a month left before Nationals, should I rest him? If so for how long until his legs come back to speed?
