New to Cross Country

Question

I have decided to join the Cross Country team. I'm excited but nervous. I start Monday morning. Other than going to a store specializing in running and getting a good pair of shoes, I'm completely new at this. Can you suggest training programs and stretching programs for someone like me? I'm 12. Going into 7th grade. It is the high school team but you can join in junior high school.
