Training offseason

Question

Hi I'm a decently fit 13 year old. In cross country I ran an 11:15 3K. Instead of doing track I do Baseball While My fellow cross country runners do track. Right now I am generally doing three 3mile runs a week.What should I do during the offseason to stay fit with the guys I run with in cross?

Answer

All you need to do is have fun running, If you run 9 miles per week now, you can build to 10 miles, then 11 miles, etc. Maybe your friends meet for runs and you can join them. It is important to be consistent and gradually build a strong aerobic foundation. Have Fun
