Question

My daughter is in 8th grade and the fastest sprinter in her school. The coach has her running the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400 and open 400m. Is there a reason he does not have her compete in 100m or 200m which are her best events? I do not understand this. I am overseas and cannot talk to him, but my wife has and he told her she has good endurance. There is no other girl in her school who can beat her in the 100 or 200. To me it is wasting her natural talent and would also save her more energy for the relays than running another 400m. What do you think?
