How much should triple jumpers weight train.

I'm a triple jumper how many times a week should I weight train?

Answer

It all depends on the age and level of an athlete. High school athletes through college should be about 2 weight training sessions per week. I have seen some professional programs that have an athlete train 3-4 times a week but it is very structured and isolates specific muscles. For most jumpers 2 weight days will be enough.
